Here’s what the facial addresses:
Looks like A-to-Z list to me! Each treatment is absolutely unique to help with any concerns and brings instant results.
A Little History
The new Hydrafacial MD skin care system uses stronger suctioning to deliver a hydra-dermabrasion type facial. Using Vortex-Fusion technology, a wand with specific tips cleanses, exfoliates and extracts for clearer, radiant skin.
I compare the Hydrafacial MD with TriHex to growing a beautiful bed of flowers. With a few steps, we create an ideal environment for new, healthy and bright growth. Collagen and elastin that have broken down and clumped together, because of photo-damage and aging, can slow down the production of healthy collagen and elastin in the skin’s deep dermal structure. The TriHex serum supports removing aged collagen and elastin fragments to help jumpstart the skin’s natural rejuvenation process. That’s like clearing out spent garden perennials to remove the dry and dull layer. TriHex also helps rebuild healthy collagen and elastin for smoother skin texture at the surface. So, I restore the optimal skin environment where new collagen and elastin is encouraged after taking away the damaged fragments. This is the same as a gardener freshening the soil base because it’s ideal to prime the surface. Hydrated, more elastic skin with a diminished appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and thin skin are immediate results. After this deeply hydrating-cleanse, all you need to do is wear sunscreen to keep that fresh and clean skin safe from UVA and UVB rays – even on cloudy days. And drink your water!
The Hydrafacial MD is good for people with hyper-sensitive skin and to treat skin conditions like Rosacea and milia. Another convenience I give during visits is layering the Hydrafacial MD with dermaplaning or with lasers to help the lasers penetrate deeper to target veins, acne or brown spots. I can also vacuum the lips to remove flakes and plump them. I recommend the Hydrafacial MD as an alternative to our Refresh Laser for clients looking for a very personalized treatment. Some clients alternate between these at their monthly visits. In my How to Have Glowing Skin post, I recommend the Hydrafacial MD for brides. They may come in every two weeks for this treatment to prep for The Big Day. For others, I suggest once a month to once every three months.
I’m so grateful for another chance to share my advice and to the Bella Lifers who are the heart of the long and inspiring relationship with Alastin Skin care. As always, I would love to give you the Hydrafacial MD treatment or answer your questions on the ways to personalize the facial. I appreciate all our conversations and time together that led to the success of Bella for the first ten years! I look forward to the next ten years filled with facials, friends and fun!
Bella celebrates its tenth year in business this year and I celebrated my 40th birthday this month! Cue the sound of clinking champagne glasses so I can toast everyone for helping me get to these milestones with a smile!
A Little History
When I opened Bella Medspa, like a true entrepreneur, my mind was filled with ideas about the most-desired services and top-notch products to offer. I was fortunate to partner with Alastin Skin care™ when they launched the brand five years ago. They are absolute leaders when it comes to packaging scientific innovations into skin care products that help reawaken the skin’s regeneration processes. Everyone who tried them loves the results from Alastin’s Restorative Eye Treatment cream and Restorative Skin Complex serum. These and many of their other products have the TriHex Technology™ proprietary blend of peptides and botanicals that help boost the skin’s production of collagen and elastin. After seeing amazing results, I was all-in when my Alastin representative, Emily, told me that they were partnering with The Hydrafacial Company to offer the next-level hydrating facial. This past spring, Bella became the first medspa in Atlanta to offer the Hydrafacial MD with Alastin TriHex Technology!
Buzz about the Hydrafacial
I think almost everyone knows about the Hydrafacial. Many have tried the basic facial somewhere like at a resort hotel spa or seen it offered in Sephora or on the Hydrafacial truck tour. It can be performed absolutely anywhere. Plus, stories in Allure and Vogue as well as tips from bloggers like Camila Coelho and Dr. Dray, are constantly reminding you of the benefits of a Hydrafacial. The facial is so ubiquitous and popular that a Hydrafacial is performed somewhere in the world every 15 seconds! That equals two million treatments performed around the globe every year. But what I really want to highlight is the Hydrafacial MD with Alastin TriHex Technology – the gold standard of the Hydrafacial – that’s offered only by the best aestheticians in the world. Below is a quick video of the treatment.

How the Hydrafacial MD Works
The new Hydrafacial MD skin care system uses stronger suctioning to deliver a hydra-dermabrasion type facial. Using Vortex-Fusion technology, a wand with specific tips cleanses, exfoliates and extracts for clearer, radiant skin.
- Cleanse + Peel – I exfoliate using acids formulated for each client to remove up to 10 layers of skin to gently resurface and provide a deeper cleanse.
- Extract + Hydrate – Then I remove debris from the pores before I hydrate the skin with moisturizers that deliver a lasting glow.
- Fuse + Protect – Medical-grade infusions put “MD” into the name! I apply several prescriptive-rated infusions that penetrate into the dermal layer. I always use the TriHex Pro Skin Booster Serum to clean old, damaged collagen and elastin fibers from the tissue and stimulate collagen synthesis.
- Maintain – Applying a compatible serum at home will stimulate collagen synthesis daily and maintain your results. I like Alastin’s Restorative Skin Complex serum, which Bella carries.
