Buy a water bottle that really speaks to you. Something sparkly, monogrammed, brightly colored or even matte black like mine from Starbucks. If you have a large water bottle that you love and don’t mind carrying it with you, then guess what? You will drink more water during the day. To help me drink enough water throughout the day, I have a large glass of spring water with lemon first thing in the morning and a small glass right before bed. Then I carry around my favorite water bottle in my car and at work. That doesn’t quite equal the 64 ounces of water recommended each day, but it gets me pretty close. Bonus tip: lemon revs up your digestion and metabolism to start your day!
Use a caffeine-based or tightening eye gel in the morning to shrink and tighten bags under your eyes and give you that wide awake, eight-hours-of-sleep, refreshed look. My go-to is Obagi ELASTIderm Eye Serum for an easy roll-on gel that doesn’t smudge mascara or under eye make-up.
Stay Hydrated For Healthy Skin
Give your face a quick workout with an invigorating cleanse, massaging with your fingertips. When you are tired, the muscles in the face become lax making the jaw line look saggier, pores larger and overall texture rougher with uneven skin coloration. Your skin needs a work out just like your body to get blood flowing and give you a glow from the inside out!
I also love a quick sweep with my Clarisonic Facial Brush to stimulate blood flow and remove a couple layers of dead skin. If you have an extra two minutes, apply Defenage Two-minute Miracle Mask to further remove skin cells and get blood flow going with this healthy, stimulating mask treatment.
Lastly, Revision Skincare’s Intellishade SPF evens out your skin tone, nourishes skin and a gives you a wonderful healthy glow that actually will inspire complements throughout the day.
Take your vitamins. No matter what! Find a brand that you love (and can stomach) and find a time of day that’s easy for you to remember to take them. I always take my vitamins after breakfast, after my morning yoga or workout. They seem to settle in my stomach best on my drive into work but not before any physical activity. But I have plenty of clients who take their vitamins at bedtime. There are no rules, so make it work for you.
My favorite vitamins and supplements for anti-aging that are specifically designed for women are Lumity Supplements with a really easy to swallow formula. The powerhouse blend of high-quality omegas, minerals, vitamins and essential nutrients seems to provide an infinite amount of anti-aging benefits.
Eye Cream With A Kick
Play a couple of your favorite songs or an inspiring podcast as you get ready in the morning. This is a quick way to start your day positive, refreshed and energized without adding any extra time to your already hectic morning. Positivity really does work! Boost your mood with some fun music to get you in the right mindset for the day ahead.
And when all else fails “fake it ‘till you make it!”

Your Skin Needs A Work Out Too!
We all know some of the basic rules for general health are drink water, exercise and get enough sleep. I agree with all of the above. And this also applies to encouraging healthy skin as well.
Great quality sleep in particular refreshes the skin and gives you a wonderful glow. Your under-eye bags are reduced, fine lines are diminished and your eyes are bright and clear. But when you’re losing precious hours of sleep due to work or school or sick kids, quality sleep is not always an option. Don’t fret! I have five simple tips that apply specifically to the health of your skin that are easy to incorporate into the busiest of schedules.
